North Pole
Having completed marathons on all seven continents, Angelo topped his list with a 42km marathon over the ice at the NORTH POLE in temperatures close to -40 degrees!
This achievement made Angelo the newest member of the world famous Grand Slam Club – joining the ranks of Sir Ranulph Fiennes – all members must complete marathons on all 7 continents of the world, as well as the icy North Pole in order to join this illustrious club.
Angelo completed the race 5th out of a field of 38 people, in a time of 5hrs 35minutes with frost nipped ears and fingers. Two athletes withdrew due to the extreme weather conditions.
